Check it out!

I am a huge blog-hopper. I could get lost in blogs all day if my kids would let me. They are a great tool to communicate and share ideas. I have been inspired by so many blogs that I have found. Imagine my surprise when someone noticed my humble blog! Check out this awesome blog that found me! They have some really great projects created by some very talented women. A project that I created for my son Joshua's class is featured there! Too cool!

I just wanted to take the time and say MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone! God gave us the most awesome gift ever...His son! Take time to thank Him today!

Check back soon. I will be re-vamping my blog or at least trying to over the next few weeks. I will also have some Valentine's ideas coming soon.

Merry Christmas,
Melissa

Snow Buddies Gift Card Holder

I made this gift card holder because I needed a larger gift card holder for my Dad. I would also be good for money gifts as well. I used Brocade Blue and Whisper White card stock. I stamped the snowflakes in Brocade Blue and the Snowmen in Basic Black. I colored them in using Pumpkin Pie and Read Red markers. I then got a little crazy with Dazzling Diamonds. I hope my Dad will like it.

The dimensions are 7 1/4 by 10. Score at 3 and 6 1/2. I trimmed the inside a little so that the gift cards would be easy to see.

I would love to hear your comments!

Have a great day!
Melissa

Still busy stamper...

Here are some more pics of things I have been working on. I wanted to make something cute for my son Joshua's classmates and I think this fit the bill. I used the Sweet Treat cups from Stampin' Up! and made a card and gift all in one.

I cut a regular paper lunch sack so that it measures 8 1/2 inches. To do the snowman part I used whisper white, real red and bashful blue card stock. I used the Snow Buddies stamp set (the little snowman) and cut the hole using the 1 3/4 circle punch and inserted the sweet treat cups. I found micro marshmallows at a cute little bulk food store (thanks Becky!) and filled the cup. Inside the bag I stamped snowflakes from the Christmas Punch stamp set and filled the bag with a cocoa packet. I closed them using whisper white ribbon and the slot punch.

I would love to hear what you think! Please leave me a comment or email me.

Busy Little Stamper!

Hello All,

I haven't been updating my blog very much these past few weeks because I have been a busy little stamper! Take a look at what I have been making.

This little box (and the other 6 that I made) is going to some of my son Joshua's teachers. The inspiration and tutorial can be found here.

I used Kraft, whisper white and real red card stock. I sponged the edges with close to cocoa ink. I also used chocolate chip and real red ink for the stamps.
Inside the boxes are a gingerbread cookie, cocoa packet and chocolate stir stick.

I am re-vamping it for my Valentine's Stamp Camp on January 9 and 11th. Please check out my Stampin' Up! website for info or to sign up. My Stamp Camps are also available to order. Please email me for me info at stampin4him@ gmail.com

I will be making more posts today so check back soon!

Merry Christmas!

Project Updates

Hello All! I am so sorry for not posting the projects. We have been sick for 2 weeks, had company visit from out of state and another round of stomach flu. I am praying that it is finally over and things can go back to normal or whatever it was before all the sicknesses!

Sickness is over (I think)

First the boys were sick and then of course I was sick. I thought it was over and was able to go away on an amazing retreat this past weekend. I came back and got sick all over again! Argh! It is not even November yet and I have been sick twice! Hopefully this is not a preview of what this season will bring me. I am on the mend and hope to be 100% soon.

I do have a few previews that I have been meaning to show you. This is a cute little box that can hold tags or 3x3 cards. I love the color combination of the Old Olive and Razzleberry. They just look so good together.

I have been busy making some cute reindeer boxes but for some reason the photo won't appear in my post. I will post it later.

Please check out my website for more info on classes!

Here are the projects from the 12 projects of Christmas. I am really excited to make the cards for our projects. The next class will be held on November 7 from 9-11 and November 9 from 6-8. I will be at a craft fair on November 8, so if you are in Gettysburg, PA stop in at the Pike Restaurant and see all the good things we have to offer. I will post a flyer for the event shortly.

Have a super day!
Melissa

The 12 Projects of Christmas Sneak Peek!

I have been busy designing and creating some fun projects for us to make in November. If you haven't RSVP'd yet, please do so right away. You don't want to miss out on these exciting cards, gift ideas and more!

This first picture is a card I created using My Digital Studio! I LOVE this program. You can create so many things with it. Flyers, Cards, Calendars, slide shows, DVD's, blog designs and digital scrapbooks and more. What makes it even cooler is that you can also print them out using Stampin' Up! print partner. They guarantee the colors will match exactly. That is awesome, especially if you plan to do hybrid projects.

My Digital Studio is 1 day away!

I am so excited that you will be able to purchase the new My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up! tomorrow! This is a GREAT product! So much more than Digital Scrapbooking, card making, calendars and so much more. I think the only limitation is your imagination!

I can't wait to show you all the goodies that I made with this wonderful software. Plus! If you host a $400 workshop in October you can get it for 50% off! How cool is that. Think Christmas presents and more!

Please email me to schedule your workshop now and you will get a little gift from me at your workshop. October is a perfect month to start planning for Christmas Cards if you haven't already. I also like to start making little gifts to give to neighbors and for people at my church. Who doesn't like a hand made gift?

More Stamp Camp Photos!

Here are some cards that we made on Saturday. The Halloween card inspiration came from Becky Roberts at Inking Idaho. She is awesome! I am a huge fan of her work. I didn't have all the supplies that I needed to create and exact copy of her card so I improvised. Check out her card here. You have to scroll down a bit but it will be worth it for sure!

If you have any questions about the supplies I used, please email me!

September Stamp Camp Photos

Here are some pictures of the cards and projects that we made at Stamp Camp. We did 3 Halloween projects and 3 Fall projects. I really like the little Batty for You box. It turned out really cute!

I used Old Olive, Basic Black and Whisper White CS. Batty for You Stamp Set and Cast-A-Spell DSP. I made a 2-4-6-8 box and cut the top using the Eyelet lace punch for something different. I also added googly eyes to give it a little extra something.

If you need cutting measurements for the box please email me at stampin4him@gmail.com

More to come...

I had to do it!

I had to add the Twilight Saga: New Moon movie countdown to my blog. I am a huge fan of the books. I mean, who doesn't love a story about true love? It is timeless. I know I am far from being a teenager but love is timeless and pure. For those of you who have been "17 awhile" please check out Twilightmoms.com this is a great website that is for older fans (over 25) of the book series. It is a nice, clean website to talk about the books, movies, discuss other books or just read info without all the texting teen speak. Enjoy!

I am a big fan of Young Adult Fiction. I just finished reading The Mortal Instruments series from Cassandra Clare. If you liked Twilight or even if you didn't, I encourage you to check out her books.

Check back soon for pictures of Stamp Camp! The projects were so cute!

Construction Ahead!

Hello All!

I am in the process of updating my blog again! I found some new sites and have been learning a ton on how to add pretty backgrounds and more. I am working on getting a 3 column blog with some cute buttons. It takes a while and I am still learning all about coding and all that fun stuff. Plus the fact that I am stamping cards and chasing kids (Hooray! school is starting soon!) and laundry and housework and all the other fun things that life throws at us!

Please leave a comment and tell me what you think!

More Pictures!

I am busy preparing for Stamp Camp and I wanted to check in and show everyone what I made for my sons' Teacher gifts. He is leaving his pre-school class and moving on to a Kindergarten readiness class. I used some retired DSP and some cute stamps that I forgot I had in my drawer. I think they all turned out really well.

I am finally back!

Hello All!

I am back! Did you miss me? It has been a while since my last post. I am still learning about blogging and trying to get my Stampin' Up business going. It has been a challenge, but I still feel that God is going to do great things with this opportunity, so I have faith!

I did read all of the Twilight books. They are so awesome. I will have to read them again soon. I have more books for the summer. I like to keep it light in the summer, so I will be reading "The Devil Wears Prada (loved the movie), Wicked (LOVED the play!) and some others that I am still trying to decide. Please keep posted on my reviews.

I am again attempting to put up some pics of my projects so that my customers can see that I am busy making new and exciting things.

Be sure to check out www.stampinup.com for the Last Chance list. It is time to go out with the old and in with the new.

Many changes are a-coming so keep posted!

Blessings,
Melissa

Welcome!

Welcome to my new Blog! This is a totally new experience for me, but I am really excited to share!

I just recently (February 2009) became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I am really excited about being more creative and sharing some great ideas and techniques that I have learned. I hope that what I do will inspire you to become creative in all areas of your life.

I am also a Christian SAHM (stay-at-home-mom) to 3 boys (ages 2,4 and 13). I am truly blessed to be able to stay home with them. I learn more about them and myself each day. God is truly working in our lives and it is amazing to see what each new day will bring, good or bad.

I have learned to budget and get creative with finances because we only have 1 income right now. I am looking forward to sharing some great tips and links to my favorite savings sites.
