Stampin' Up! meets Thirty One!

Here are some cards that I designed for my friend Christine. She just became a Thirty One consultant and is so excited! You can check out her website here. She wanted some cards to give as "Thank You's" and have each guest attending sign their name on the card. I thought that was a lovely idea! The cards are "Easel Cards". They are so pretty. Let me know what you think!

This card was made using the Stampin' Up! Big shot Die called Top Note. That is a favorite of mine. You NEED a Big Shot! They are the best. I used Basic Black, Whisper White and Melon Mambo card stock. I cut the edges using the new Sale-A-Bration scalloped edge punch. Ask me how you can get one of these for FREE! I used Basic Black ink and the sentiment from Trendy Trees. That is a very verstaile little stamp set. To finish everything off and add some bling I used a rhinestone brad. Too cute!

To make this card I used Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and Pretty in Pink Card stock. I added some designer series paper from the 2010 Occasions mini called "Sending Love". This is gorgeous paper. I have to force myself to use it (not really) because I just want to keep it all for myself. :) I used the Curly Label punch and folded it in half to make the mini purse. I added some Pretty In Pink grosgrain ribbon to make a handle and stamped the same sentiment from Trendy Trees in Chocolate Chip ink. I also used the Scalloped edge punch again. I love the way this looks. It also helped to hold the card in place.

I hope that you like these cards. Please leave me a comment! I love comments!

Have a great day! We are NOT getting snow today for once. Hooray!

Look what I made! An Ink Pad Holder!

I was using an old rubbermaid bin to store my stamp pads in and hated it. I have been toying around with the idea of buying or should I say investing in the wonderful stamp pad holder from Stampin' Up! I will eventually get that one, but I needed something to put on my beautiful shelves that my wonderful upline Sue Brummer gave me. You see, I have 3 wonderful boys and I can see my stamp pad caddy being spun out of control and all of my stamp pads flying a high speeds all over my house. I had tried to purchase one I found online, but it has been backordered since before Christmas. How frustrating! I even looked at the lovely ones that were made of wood, but again, that is an investment. I FINALLY found this wonderful blog that had a FREE tutorial on how to create a stamp pad holder. I can just say that the directions were very clear and easy to understand. I made it in less than an hour including cutting time and I LOVE IT!!!! I want to make one for my ribbons and maybe even for my Big Shot dies! Here is where I found the tutorial. Check it out!

Business Card Holder using my Big Shot!

Hello All!

I made a business card holder using my Big Shot today. It just sort of came to me. I am sure someone somewhere made one, but this is mine that I made and came up with.

Here is the inside. It is also reversible so you can have it without the scallops.

Here it is closed.

It was super simple to make and maybe took me 2 minutes.

I used 3 squares to make this. 2 of the same and another coordinating fabric. I folded the striped fabric in half and pressed it. That made it easier to work with. I stitched a top stitch across the top of the folded piece. I then pinned it all together and sewed all around the edges using a 1/4 seam allowance. That is it. I am going to add velcro and a small felt flower to embellish. I will post a better tutorial later with more pictures. This quick one was for my LNS friends!

Thanks for looking and please leave comments!

I had to share!

My Momma always taught me to share and I am being a good "sharer" today. After finding yet another blog tutorial I came across a website that has FREE scrapbook fonts. I am sure that there are a lot of places like this out on the web, but I like this one. In just about 3 minutes I downloaded 108 FREE scrapbook fonts into Word and My Digital Studio! I am so excited! I can't wait to use them! Please click on the link that says "FREE Scrapbook Fonts" in my side bar and see the gorgeous, adorable, awesome fonts that have there and more!

Here is PA we have about 30 inches of snow. I am so ready for Spring!

Toodles,

Twilight inspired Petal Card bookmarks

I knew when I saw these I had to make one. Or two or three. They are just too cute and easy. My favorite things to be! Click here for a quick and easy tutorial. You have to scroll down just a bit. I really love the ones on her blog, but wanted a new twist. I have a group of friends and we are all Twilight Moms (or most of us are!) and I had to make these for them. I am going to add a chocolate surprise and viola! Happy Valentine's Day from me!

I used Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock. I also used the scallop circle punch and the 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 circle punches.

I hope you enjoy this great idea!

Happy Stampin,
Melissa

A new look for my blog!

I have been attempting to change the look of my blog for several months. I bought My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up! and have been seeing others design cute blogs with it. I knew I had to make one too! There are several great tutorials out there showing you what to do. I tried and tried, but no luck. I finally posted my sad story on Splitcoaststampers and help arrived in the form of an blog angel named Debbi. She has been so wonderful. She helped me walk through every step until she found my error. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for her. God sends people across our path every day. Sometimes we miss an opportunity to really see the good in people. I am happy to say that I didn't miss it in Debbi. God used her to bless me with a gift and I am trully, eternally grateful!

THANK YOU DEBBI! YOU ARE AWESOME!!

I know I will be changing the blog again soon, so stay tuned!

Happy Stampin'

Ta Da!

Isn't this cute! I love it! I saw this online and knew that I had to make one. My SU! order did not come yet (Wednesday!!) so I improvised. I used Chocolate Chip Card stock, Bella Rose DSP, the new Sweet Pea felt flowers (2010 Occasions Mini) and the chocolate chip epoxy brads. That is sort of hard to see because it is in the middle of the Sweet Pea flower. I did use Chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon but you can't see that in the picture. My next one will be made with the new Sweet Pea Designer paper. I can't wait to show you.

I will be teaching this as a class. So please check my Stampin' Up! website for more info! If you want to make one for yourself. Click here and it will take you to where I purchased the fabulous tutorial. A special thanks to Becky Roberts for here awesome tutorials! You are so talented! Thank you for sharing you!!

If you are interested in making this adorable purse and cannot make it to my classes, please email me at stampin4him@gmail.com for more info!

Have a great day,
Happy Stampin'
