Look what I made this weekend!

On Saturday I attended an awesome training by my up-up-upline the wonderful Connie Heisey. She is so inspirational and shares my love of stamping and the Lord. I am so blessed to be a part of her life.

We made some make and takes and these are my favorites. The other one I goofed so it will not be appearing on my blog at this time. My "blooper" cards are a whole other blog!

I think this card is so elegant. This is from a new set in our 2010 Summer Mini called "Elements of Style". I stamped the image with Black Stazon and colored the flowers with an Aqua painter and re-inkers. It was so simple and the results were just beautiful. Add some Pretty in Pink satin ribbon and a pearl and viola! A masterpiece! I have to admit that I don't use my Aqua painters a lot. I will be dusting them off and using them more after this.

This card is just too fun. Another set from the 2010 Summer Mini. This stamp set is called Sweet Scoops. It is fun and I was excited to make this card because I pre-ordered this stamp set. Another perk of being a consultant is getting sneak peeks of up and coming new items. You will see more of this stamp set for sure. How cute would this be as an invitation to an Ice Cream party.

I figured it out! Here is a list of the new colors. I love them. I think they are all rich and vibrant. I am super excited to get my Stampin' Success magazine (Stampin' Up! sends this great tool to all demonstrators) and see the new colors and card stock in person. We are each getting a sample of the new colors. Not sure if it will be all the colors or not, but rest assured I will share them with you!

Here is the list of the retiring colors. NOW is the time to stock up on your favorites. They will be gone by June 30th.

Color Renovation!

Stampin' Up has announced that we are having a Color Renovation! I am so excited!! I am really excited about the color collections and cannot wait to get my hands on them and start playing!

Here are the details:
4 Color Collections, Brights Collection, Neutrals Collection, Regals Collections and Subtles Collections. 29 colors are being retired, 10 colors are returning from previous "In Colors" and there will be 5 new shades! I am really excited about the returning colors and new shades. Some colors have even switched teams!

Click here to view and print the list of retiring colors. I am not too sad to see these colors go. I didn't use them too much. The colors I do have I will still use. Spring is here!

I have been busy creating and not so busy posting. Sorry! Here are a few cards that I made for Easter. I am a little behind in mailing cards out this year, but I hope my family likes their cards.

I love this card. It is just so simple and dainty.

Supplies: Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White card stock. I sponged the petals with Rose Red Classic ink to give some depth. Certainly Celery ribbon (from last years Sale-A-Bration) I do not have any more of the Satin Ribbon which I would have used on this card. Sizzix: Big Shot (You NEED one of these!), Top Note die and polka dot embossing folder. Too cute!

The next card uses the same colors of card stock. I saw a simillar one on Stampin Addicts. I didn't add the scrunchie flower because I have to mail it and I don't have time to get a special envelope. I will for sure rock this one out for Mother's Day!

The only different supplies were the Large Fancy Flower punch and 5 petal flower punch. The sizzix supplies that is different is the Simple Flower. Again, I would have used the Satin Ribbon from the 2010 Occasions Mini catalog. I LOVE that ribbon. I will be taking stock in that for my sisters wedding invitations.

Post It Note Purse

I saw a cute Post It Note purse here and knew that I had to make one of my own. I have a friend that sells Thirty One purses and have been making cards for her. How cute would this be to hand to a customer?

Supplies Used:

Papers: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White Card Stock, Thoroughly Modern DSP

Misc. Accessories: Rhinestone brad, Basic Black 1/4 grosgrain ribbon, silver brads

Punches: Large tag punch (hidden behind the flower), corner rounder

Big Shot! (You NEED one of these!) Blossom Party Die

I will be making more of these for sure. Super easy and cute! A perfect teacher or Mother's Day gift.  I will work on making a quick and easy tutorial for these soon.

Stampin' Up! meets Thirty One!

Here are some cards that I designed for my friend Christine. She just became a Thirty One consultant and is so excited! You can check out her website here. She wanted some cards to give as "Thank You's" and have each guest attending sign their name on the card. I thought that was a lovely idea! The cards are "Easel Cards". They are so pretty. Let me know what you think!

This card was made using the Stampin' Up! Big shot Die called Top Note. That is a favorite of mine. You NEED a Big Shot! They are the best. I used Basic Black, Whisper White and Melon Mambo card stock. I cut the edges using the new Sale-A-Bration scalloped edge punch. Ask me how you can get one of these for FREE! I used Basic Black ink and the sentiment from Trendy Trees. That is a very verstaile little stamp set. To finish everything off and add some bling I used a rhinestone brad. Too cute!

To make this card I used Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and Pretty in Pink Card stock. I added some designer series paper from the 2010 Occasions mini called "Sending Love". This is gorgeous paper. I have to force myself to use it (not really) because I just want to keep it all for myself. :) I used the Curly Label punch and folded it in half to make the mini purse. I added some Pretty In Pink grosgrain ribbon to make a handle and stamped the same sentiment from Trendy Trees in Chocolate Chip ink. I also used the Scalloped edge punch again. I love the way this looks. It also helped to hold the card in place.

Look what I made! An Ink Pad Holder!

I was using an old rubbermaid bin to store my stamp pads in and hated it. I have been toying around with the idea of buying or should I say investing in the wonderful stamp pad holder from Stampin' Up! I will eventually get that one, but I needed something to put on my beautiful shelves that my wonderful upline Sue Brummer gave me. You see, I have 3 wonderful boys and I can see my stamp pad caddy being spun out of control and all of my stamp pads flying a high speeds all over my house. I had tried to purchase one I found online, but it has been backordered since before Christmas. How frustrating! I even looked at the lovely ones that were made of wood, but again, that is an investment. I FINALLY found this wonderful blog that had a FREE tutorial on how to create a stamp pad holder. I can just say that the directions were very clear and easy to understand. I made it in less than an hour including cutting time and I LOVE IT!!!! I want to make one for my ribbons and maybe even for my Big Shot dies! Here is where I found the tutorial. Check it out!
